A PoC aimed at demonstrating the usefulness of AI in the administration of the Belgian federal police.
Police Assistant is an on‑premise proof of concept designed to demonstrate the impact of AI on the processes of the Belgian Federal Police. The app combines a modern frontend (Next.js/React + Tailwind) with a Java Spring Boot backend and Python services (FastAPI) for AI capabilities (Llama.cpp + MistralAI) and vector search (ChromaDB). The architecture enables isolated deployment via Docker and adapts to secure environments.
